What a day! Beginning with a lecture I gave to the participants of a midwifery course that focused on continuous midwifery-led maternal care - a heartfelt encounter with 'baby-midwives' on their way to become professional caregivers. Reminding ourselves that true midwifery combines the old with new, technology with awareness and contemplation.

If a day such as this can be summerized at all, we can say that our role as midwives is to empower women to rely on their enherent biological abilities, protect natural biological processes, enable the bonding and the construct of a healthy relationship, already during pregnancy. And of course always nurture the passion - the infinite passion for life, l'infinita passione per la vita! Tomorrow we continue the deep-dive. Here's to passion and pleasure!
